"THRIVE With a Birthday Milestone" - Kent
Ross (Ohio)

My brother Scott moves into my decade today. He turns 70 ! Wow !
I know. He had a heart attack back when he was in his early forties. I worried at the time fearing he was following a pattern among several on the Ruhn side, our Mom's side.
He did wonderfully in following a regimen of rehab and recovery, seemingly walking all over Omaha, and being somewhat of a 'kill-joy' when we would go out to eat. Going out for pizza took on a whole new meeting, when it went to ordering.
But now, 28 years later he joins me in our 70's. He's been a wonderful brother, though truth-to-tell, he's been my only experience. He and Gayle are soon coming up on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I was honored to have him as my best man back in 1964, and in turn served as his best man.
I wonder if Mom and Dad thought that both their sons would go into the ministry and serve over 100 combined years as ministers of the Gospel. I love him and have always been proud to call him my brother, though he's had a harder time with any reciprocity.
Happy Birthday, little brother. My hope is for you to have many more years of life, unless the Lord returns in the interim. Then we'll be together for a long, long time.
