I have E-Prime set up on my Lenovo computer (windows 8) and recently I have been having been having problems running tasks on a second screen (either extended or duplicate). When I use at DTI cable to connect my computer to the projector, the images/words have been too small. I have tried adjust the resolution on both my computer (the E-Prime experiment itself) and the second screen, but have had no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to rectify this? Or is there a way to easily change the sizes of all of the images themselves? Many thanks in advance.

Hi Molly,

have you tried setting a "designated display" for each of your slides (Slide properties --> general properties --> display (choose one) )? The discovery of that feature solved many of these problems for me.

By changing the sizes of the images, do you mean the actual image, or the image size in eprime?
The first thing can be accomplished via IrfanView batch commands (you should find a simple explanation in google), and I guess you could use an Inline at the beginning of your experiment to reset all the imagebox sizes in Eprime itself at the start of each session of your experiment. This would be a bit of a drag, though...

Hi Marc,

Thank you for your help. I will definitely try adjusting the settings. One more point of clarity. When I run the task on my computer when it is not connected to the projector, the image is the size I want; it is when I connect my computer to the projector that the image size shrinks on both my computer display and on the projector. Do you think adjusting the setting will help with this too?

Thanks again!!

Have you tried what happens, when you just connect the Computer to the projector, without having a second screen connected to the experimenters PC? And, do your PC and your projector have the same screen resoultion?
