Good morning,

Now, I am trying to set up a oddball task with eprime 2.0.10 and I can not found how to do it. My experiment is based in a go - nogo paradigm, expecifically is the Sustained Attention to response task auditory version. The person need to response to ramdom numbers (1 to 9) and must not to response when they listen the number 6. As I say, all stimuli are auditory, even the fixation point (pitch at 500Hz). My inteterest is put one fixation point oddball stimulus (at 470Hz) to appear only 10% of cases, in relation to the other fixation point to appear at 90% of cases (500Hz). I've looked at other forums and do not clarify my question.

If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

Thanks!

Hello!!!!!

I'm trying the same thing... But with visual stimuli instead and less complicated, x for 80% of the cases  and h for 20%

The only way I could figure it out wass to add the number of levels I wanted the simuli to appear and then set a random selection for the conditions on the trial proc. Though it seems that your version may require you to select a random fixation point? I suppose you could add different levels that look for the sound.wav file on your trial list and then you put it at random variation of trials. Then in the sound object on your trial proc you should set it to call for the attribute of the sound.wav file.

Also, I think you could set the different conditions by creating a set of attributes wich include the two different fixation points and different numbers.wav and then set a randomization of trials.

My solution may be too simple and it may require more programming skills and de-bugging. So I don't know but it is my best guess. Hope it helps.

Very best wishes!

Juan
