Due to COVID, we have had to adapt our experiment to a virtual setting. We are running E-Prime tasks through the video-conferencing software Microsoft Teams. One of our E-Prime tasks reads out a definition in which the participant is to say the correct word and then the experimenter presses '1' if it is correct. We have run into issues when sharing the audio sound. What has occurred over Teams is that the sound stops sharing after a couple definitions, however, it is not an E-Prime issue because the sound is still produced on the laptop that the E-Prime task is directly running from. The error occurs somewhere on the line of transferring across the conferencing software.
My question is has anyone run E-Prime tasks that utilize shared audio sound via video conferencing softwares? If so, are there any tips or solutions to help the sound carry through the entire experiment?
