Serial.WriteInteger

Hey guys, I am trying to send different markers to BIOPAC MP150. I only have a serial port so I used a serial to parallel adaptor piece to connect to the BIOPAC. Now if I send a signal using Serial.WriteInteger (or string etc.). It only receives a signal on one channel, so using different numbers doesn't work. I can't seem to code something that sends it to one channel or another (so I can differentiate between events). Anyone any idea how to move forward on this?
