The MIT GSL program is an intensive 7-week accelerator program focusing on mobile/web innovations. Students will learn entrepreneurship skills and software development skills, develop a commercially viable prototype product as a team, and gain valuable access to investors and the Indian entrepreneurship community.
This year, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has partnered with Kyron, a top accelerator and venture capital firm, to offer a phenomenal product development workshop. The technical and business curriculum will be taught by alumni and current student instructors from MIT's business and engineering schools.
Applications are invited from teams as well as individuals. For individuals without teams, program instructors will help form teams in the first week of the program. Each team will be required to form an idea utilizing mobile and web technologies, produce a business plan for this product, prototype the product, and then demo the product at the end of the program.
Demo Day will be a chance for teams to network with potential investors to secure funding to take their ideas to the next level. Throughout the program, teams will have incredible access to mentors from industry and the MIT GSL network.
The Program will be conducted in Bangalore and selected candidates need to arrange lodging and food on their own. After the successful completion of the program, the participants would also be awarded a certificate from MIT.
Last date to submit application is May 23rd, 2014. Early applications are encouraged, as candidates shall be selected on a rolling basis.
