Is it just me, or does anybody else wish that you can highlight multiple files (dwg’s, jpeg’s, pdf’s, etc.) and attach them to Emanage in one shot? Recently, I received an email with 8 pdf’s.  The number of mouse clicks per attachment x 8 seems like a ridiculous waste of time.

You can do this already... if you open the attach documents window and
then minimize e-manage, you can grab multiple files and drag and drop
them into the list view on the attachments window and then click the
attachment documents button. Done.. all files are attached.

Thanks for the tip. This definitely helps. The only quibble I have
with this method is that in seems to attach all the documents under
"general" file type. I then clicked on each item to have in appear in
the attachement window where I can change the file type, then re-
attach it. You then need to delete the original "general" file. Is
there another way when attaching multiple file types?

In order to attach multiple attachments at the same time by dragging
and dropping, we have to default the items to something, so we do.

We may be able to let you set the default when attaching multiple
documents. Please submit a help request form from within e-manage to
suggest this and we can put it in our help desk database

This functionality has now been updated to be even easier... when you
get the next live update, check out the new grid in the attach
documents window that allows you to change any part of the attachment
information before attaching to the record.
