గూగుల్ మ్యాప్స్ కి సంబందించిన  రెండు  మేజర్ అప్ డేట్స్  ని గూగుల్  విడుదల చేసింది. మొదటిది, turn-by-turn voice-guided driving directions. రెండవది, live traffic information for major cities in India. 

Google Official Blogpost says,
"Your phone will announce upcoming directions to you as you move along your route — and it will even use a friendly and familiar Indian accent if you’ve selected the Indian English locale on in your phone settings."

ట్రాఫిక్ ఫీడ్ సులబంగా అర్థమయ్యేందుకు మూడు రంగులలో చూపించబడుతుంది. Red: బాగా రద్దీ  ని సూచిస్తుంది , Yellow: తక్కువ రద్దీ  ని సూచిస్తుంది , Green: ఫ్రీ   ఫ్లో    ని సూచిస్తుంది .

గూగుల్ మ్యాప్స్ ఆప్ ని  డౌన్ లోడ్  చేసుకున్న తర్వాత  గూగుల్ మ్యాప్స్ లో వున్న ట్రాఫిక్ లేయర్(top right corner) ని సెలెక్ట్   చేసి డెస్క్ టాప్  మరియు మొబైల్  ఫోన్ లలో లైవ్  ట్రాఫిక్ అప్ డే ట్స్  ని చూడవచ్చును.

ఈ ట్రాఫిక్ సమాచారం హైదరాబాద్ , బెంగుళూరు, ముంబయి, న్యు డిల్లి , చెన్నై  మరియు పూనే  నగరాలకు మాత్రమె అందుబాటు లో  వుంది.
