Dear All,

The Punjab cabinet on Tuesday approved the Right to Service Ordinance, 2011, to ensure the delivery of citizen centric services like making of driving licence, arms licence and revenue records within a stipulated time limit.

"This ordinance is aimed at empowering the citizens with the right to get the services from the government within a set deadline. It will also ensure 100 per cent accountability of the officers of implementing agencies. This ordinance has been approved by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal ," said an official spokesperson of the Punjab government.
