Here's What You'll Get to Do
Working with Nursing and Nurse Practitioner Supervisors:
· Develop a Family Video Education Series
o draft plain language scripts and storyboards for short educational videos on topics such as daily care, transplantation and preparing for procedures
· Create Clinical Guideline Summaries
o develop guidelines for intestinal failure and user-friendly reference documents
o identify other areas for further development
· Design Teaching Materials for Healthcare Providers
o create resources such as slide decks, case-based learning materials, summary documents for use with onboarding medical trainees and allied health staff
· Revise Adolescent Transition Website
o update and revise website content with focus on transition to adult care
o create and update sections on self-management and navigating adult systems
o improve and refresh website design for improved usability and engagement
Here's What You'll Need
· Evidence of current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Science, Healthcare, Dietetics, Education or a related field
· Availability to work 35 hours/week for 8 to 10 weeks, hybrid work is an option once projects are established
· Interest in innovative health care delivery, creative resource development for patient and staff education
· Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook 365
· Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and within a team setting
· Dependability
