Hello Community Partners,

LEC has started intake for the Golden Mile Trades Training Cohrot 8 which starts in August. Please feel free to share the information with your clients and network.

The Golden Mile Trades Training program is a construction (pre-app) training consisting of a 6-weeks of in-class training. The individual will learn how to get into a union/trade.

Participants will receive the following certifications: Globally Harmonized WHMIS, Working at Heights, Workplace Violence and Harassment, Introduction to PPE, Introduction to Hand Tools, Safety Awareness in Four Steps, First Aid, Confined Space Entry and Hazard Recognition, and Traffic Control.

What we look for:

• A safety-conscious attitude, comfortable using hand tools
• Ability to use stairs, ladders, and climb over rough terrain
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent 
• Having driving license is an asset
