Gainaccess to high-quality engineering e-books. This e-book collection helps researchers broaden their knowledge of the engineering industry to help support decision-making, facilitate product design and implement industry best practices.
Are you kidding me? Had this been a cheaper book, I would have just given up.But $82 is a lot of money in the book world! My old instincts kicked in and I decidedit would be more fun to hack and blog for a week than to waste any time dealing with thecustomer support.
Finishing the job would have been simple: save all chapters of the book as PDF, thenmaybe even merge all of them into a single document. But part of me would have beenashamed of half-assing it like that (although I did create a mental note that the solutionwas good enough for all practical purposes, just in case I fail to find anythingbetter). I was still curious to see if there was a way to retrieve the book in theoriginal format, whatever that format was, so I continued my investigation.
I had already figured out how to retrieve the HTML content of a single chapter. My next idea was to check how the viewer was getting URLs of all chapters, hopingthat I would uncover some API that I could use to get the book metadata. I knewthat the file name of the first chapter was E6372ch01_d78.html, so I looked atall network requests that came before fetching the chapter itself:
For a few minutes I was worried that I would have to gain a deep understanding ofthe EPUB format, but everything turned out to be way easier than I expected. Hereis an example EPUB file structure from Wikipedia:

Nanotechnology and Bioengineering have greatly expanded the scope of the application of engineering methods in recent years. Not to forget the steady development in all engineering disciplines, from sustainable methods and materials in building construction, over more efficient aircraft propulsion and electric mobility, to 5G mobile networks. This immense scope is the reason for the large volume of the Engineering eBook collection as it covers all of these different fields and their connections to one another. Its content is targeted at researchers, engineers, and students, and thus helps to build a better and more sustainable future.
The Engineering eBook collection offers a rich mix of book types for all user groups: students, faculty, researchers, and professionals. Making it an unparalleled resource to excel research and learning. All books are available without DRM, making them accessible simultaneously by an unlimited number of users.
Technology changes society and environment since the onset of industrialization. Springer Engineering books accompany technological progress for about 170 years, with early authors such as Werner von Siemens and Rudolf Diesel.
By incorporating metrics into your leadership strategies, you can gain more precise insight into how your teams work. Data provides objective evidence that, if thoughtfully interpreted, can help leaders effectively manage teams to produce better software more efficiently.
The idea of tracking and measuring developer productivity can feel like micromanaging, or worse, surveillance, and engineering leaders might be hesitant to introduce metrics to the team. In this ebook, we cover key strategies for introducing metrics in positive ways that avoid blame and promote psychological safety. (Hint: metrics give you insight about the work, not the developers themselves).
The 5 Elements of Software Engineering Management is a guide that seeks to provide you with an alternate perspective so you can build engineering organizations that anticipate business needs and deliver innovation that delights customers.
This work is a culmination of our collaboration with numerous bright minds in technical leadership to understand what common principles break down organizational barriers and help create elite engineering organizations.

This book acts as the perfect introduction to all things analytics engineering. You can think of it as a dictionary for all the terms, tools, languages, and skills that you need to succeed as an analytics engineer.
Each letter highlights a different keyword that you often hear in the industry. Some words are more general and lead to a discussion on best practices while other words are about a certain tool or language that you need to master.
This book will give you guidance on where to start regarding your modern data stack. The terms included will help you gain exposure to the lingo of the job field and the best practices that you need to consider when implementing a data stack, writing data models, and building out a data pipeline.
Library books are organised by call numbers on the spine of the books. Use the Library Catalogue to see if the item is available in the library.

Ideal for a one-semester course, this concise textbook covers basic electronics for undergraduate students in science and engineering. Beginning with the basics of general circuit laws and resistor circuits to ease students into the subject, the textbook then covers a wide range of topics, from passive circuits through to semiconductor-based analog circuits and basic digital circuits. Using a balance of thorough analysis and insight, readers are shown how to work with electronic circuits and apply the techniques they have learnt. The textbook's structure makes it useful as a self-study introduction to the subject. All mathematics is kept to a suitable level, and there are several exercises throughout the book.
This practical guide for engineers, whether students or senior managers, is an aid to developing a readable and lucid style in which to express technical knowledge. The text contains worked examples of different types of communication, advising on choice of words, the structuring and presentation of information and using material common to a range of technical disciplines.
The Complete Solution To The Teaching and Study of NVQ Engineering' Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering is the second in an exciting new series of books from Longman.
