Dear Prabhus and Matajis,
About eight years ago I let some long held issues of resentment go. It was only by doing so that I realized how much this resentment had been hurting me both materially and spiritually.
As I began talking to others about my experiences with forgiveness, I quickly learned how pervasive resentment is, even in the devotee community. I heard many stories from devotees about being hurt by Iskcon authorities, loved ones, friends or parents. Some devotees even had unresolved resentment issues with their guru.
The sastras inspire us with many stories and teachings about forgiveness. We know we shouldn’t hold onto resentment. And we know we’ll be better off if we drop it. Still many of us find it difficult to let our resentments go.
I wanted to do something to help. So, in 2004 I developed a one-day forgiveness workshop called The Life of Forgiveness which I have since facilitated many times around the world.(I later change the name to Transformation Through Forgiveness because I saw how much the course changed devotees attitudes - and even changed their lives.) I will be giving this workshop in Seattle on September 28 and 29 and I am writing to invite you to attend. It is being offered for a small registration fee and then on a donation basis.
Transformation Through Forgiveness is a hands-on workshop in which you work through your own resentment using a 19-step forgiveness process I developed. (You learn the forgiveness processes by applying the steps to your own issue.) You will learn to use these processes for other resentment issues you have or that may come up in the future. Plus, you can use these processes to help others with their resentment.
You will learn to:
I have been to many pricey conferences, but
never got as much USEFUL information and hands on experience as in your
Forgiveness course. I didn't realize how much resentment I had been
carrying around with me and I am happy to be rid of much of that. ~ Mahavisnupriya devi dasi, Alachua, FL
Thank you so much. It was here in your seminar that I found the missing attitudes, tools, and self awareness to complete the work I begun in other seminars I recently attended. ~ Anonymous, Alachua, FL
By keeping a record of the wrongs that have been done to you, you remain in a victim mentality. Forgiveness empowers you to imagine a better future, one in which your hurt will not be the final word on the matter.
The forgiveness processes I teach help you see your story in new ways, ways that cause a shift in your attitude and response to the situation. You then leave the seminar with a liberating and empowering story of forgiveness, rather than a disempowering story of hurt and blame
“This course has been a huge help. In fact, I am excited about the priceless treasure with which I am leaving. My heart is transformed and freed Everyone should take this course.” ~ Irene Mills, London, England
You do have the freedom and power to choose to forgive no matter how deeply you have been hurt. Do you have a story of hurt you carry with you? Is there some person or organization you still need to forgive? If so, this seminar is for you.
Your servant,
Mahatma das
