Under the leadership of HG Harivilas Prabhu, on the most auspicious occasion of Gaur Purnima (Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Appearance Day) celebration, we would like to strongly encourage all devotees to participate in Burrito Maha Nagar Sankirtana.

Following from the tradition from previous years on Gaura-purnima,  the most auspicious appearance day of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Vedic CulturalCenter will have Maha Harinam Nagar sankirtan in downtown Seattle on Saturday ( 03/07). There will be 4 teams each starting from different parts of Downtown at 1:30 P.M. and converge at Pike Place Market.

1. Seattle Center to Pike Place Market - Harisri and kids troupe Book Distributor - Gunarupini mataji and Raghunath priya prabhu

2. Capitol Hill - Convention Center – to Pike Place Market - Pandava Vijaya prabhu, Ayush prabhu, and team Book Distributor - Radhapathi and Balaram Leela

3. Alaskan Way to Pike Place Market - Om Tat Sat prabhu, Braja Hari prabhu and team.  Book Distributor - Divyadristi mataji

4. Downtown loop to Pike Place Market - Paramananda prabhu team.  Book Distributor - Madhava Candra prabhu

Burrito team is preparing 500 plus burritos so that we can feed the spiritually hungry souls.

Upon reaching the Pike Place Market at 3:30 p.m. there will be a tumultuous Kirtan for 1.5 hours with some book distribution. Please join us at the Vedic Cultural Center by 12:15 PM for group assignments and leave to assigned destinations in a carpool by 12:40 PM. One can also join us directly in either of the four groups between 01:30 Pm - 03:30 PM or ultimately at Pike Place market by03:30 PM .

We will start from the temple at 12:40 pm for Seattle and start back from Seattle at 4 pm.

Schedule for March 7:

 

·         Arrive at Temple 11.30 AM

·         Complete honoring Prasad by 12:00 noon

·         Practice between 12:00 noon and 12:30 PM

·         Group assignments 12:30 – 12:40 PM

·         Leave at sharp 12:40 by carpooling (parking is expensive in Seattle) to four different locations

Burrito Preparation 

We need devotees to help in preparation of 500 burritos on Sat morning between 7 - 11 am. Please note in the Sign Up form if you can help with the service.

Driver Service

We need 6 volunteers to get the cars from starting points to downtown to pick up the devotees after sankirtan.  Again, please note in the Sign Up form if you can help with this service.

Attached are the detailed routes of the 4 sankirtana groups we will divide ourselves into.
