Dear Friends,
Wish you a very happy Diwali and New Year. Thank you for your enthusiastic participation in DYS (a.k.a. ATMA) course in the past. It has been quite some time since then, and at this point we thought of having a get together for a special event at the temple.
We’re very glad to inform you that we plan to have a Volunteering Sunday at our ISKCON Radha Krishna temple (Mountain View) on Nov 10th where all our DYS family could come together and take charge of different services. Although there’s no dearth of volunteers, this event would be a great way for us to achieve the following purposes, which constitute an important part of our individual spiritual journeys.

(1) To develop Seva Bhaava (attitude of selfless service) that makes our consciousness fertile to understand and apply spiritual knowledge.
(2) To develop bonding with each other based on spiritual principles. Such spiritual friendships help us throughout our respective spiritual journeys.
(3) To get acquainted with the wider community and the profound spiritual culture and practices based on knowledge that we’re discussing in the DYS Course.

Overall Plan (4 to 7:30 PM):
4 to 5:30 PM - Temple discourse,
5:30 to 5:50 PM - Arati,
5:50 to 6:20 PM - Serving dinner Prasad to all temple visitors,
6:20 to 7 PM - Having dinner together (or you could carry it home if this is too early a dinner for you)
7 to 7:30 PM - Kitchen Seva (cleaning, winding up, etc)
