Hi Luciano,

You're right, the Android client is a killer feature to have !
Unfortunately we don't have it right now - we are planning to work on
it starting Q3 2015
The more people that ask for it, the higher it will get in our todo-list :)

cheers,
Nicolas

WOW .... today i tried dynvpn first time (instead of hamachi for playing a little with my raspberry. i love it. dynvpn also works fine with autostart (in rc.local i but some "link" to an xxx.sh file). the only think i really miss is an android app (to make a connection to my pi from my phone). then all is great. this tool is really a "missing link" in the current environement. GREAT JOB GUYS and thank you !!!!!

Hi, Just throwing it out there, This would be absolutely FANTASTIC! Please, be sure to let us know whats going on! I've been looking for an alternative to Hamachi (eurgh, theres a reason I haven't used it since  '06) And this seems to be by far the best, both in terms of simplicity, and multi-platform support.

Again, please, please please :)

Hey folks !

I hear you ! in the next weeks we are going to start the development of the client for the Android platform !
I'm also going to create a survey so you'll be able to vote on what feature or improvement you'd like to see.

pls release the android platform. this will be the best then

Hello Nick, just discovered Dynvpn. Working great on my network, even if I'm behind my isp NAT! Any news on the android app?

Thanks,

Daniele

Hi !

While developing the Android App we realized that the API only gives us access to a layer 3 tunnel interface (tun)
instead of a layer 2 (tap) interface. So it was not possible with the current architecture to make the Android app working.

None the less we were already in the process if writing the next version of our cloud networking engine with a new tunneling protocol.
We are going to release a beta of this new platform for a few users this month. The Android app will then need to be completed and will work
with this next version of our cloud networking engine.

That being said, we are also sorry for the delay, we are ourself excited at the idea to use it on our phones to connect to our networks !
Our current planning suggest it will be ready around Q2 2018 !

cheers,
Nick

Following this thread intensely!

Also a question. For users with rooted Android phones, is there an app that is compatible or analogous to the net-vert agent software?

Would love to have an android client of sorts. The service is well worth the recurring donation. Any updates on android client?

Hi All !

I'm very conscious that a lot of you is waiting for the Android client !
Some part of the application is already written, but the Android client will only be available on the platform 2.0 that we will soon put in beta.

As you might have realized, the current platform is working well 90% of the time, with some crash and freeze happening from time to time.

The new platform fix them all, but at the cost of breaking backward compatibility. So a new version of the client will be needed to connect to the platform 2.0.

I will keep you updated !

Hi,

I’m excited to try the platform 2.0 if it’s really2 reliable (and of course, android is a plus).

As of now, I’m not using dynvpn anymore as it’s often cannot connected, and even if it's connected, it’s very slow compared to H******. So it was not usable by me.

I’m using vpn primaryly for remote desktop connection. So yes, I compared it with only using the vpn, and then opening remote desktop connection client on windows and connect to other pc. So every other variables were the same.

Too bad though, cause I see lots of potential on dynvpn, and I very much like the very easy to connect (when it’s working) and the very easy interface compare to H******

Regards,

Lai Min Feng
