Do you plan to also implement support for MBW (100,150,200) watches in
your software.

That's very doubtful because we don't have access to their hardware
documentation. I'm not even sure if this would be legal.

Or do you mean the support for Dynawa Watch to communicate with MBW
watches?

The comunication is done over ata comands. And I thougt you would also
program an clientsoftware for dynawa. Or would the Watch be only stand
alone ?

1. There will be firmware in Dynawa Watch. This alone would allow some
basic functionality, e.g. rejecting calls from watch, without need for
any special phone software (the watch will emulate BT headset).
2. There will be software for phones, allowing for more advanced
functions when communicatig with Dynawa Watch.
3. All this software & firmware will be open source, freely
downloadable and extendable.

We don't know details about MBW watches so it's highly improbable our
communication protocol would be compatible with MBW's. And it's even
less probable that our watch firmware could be easily adapted to run
or MBW hardware.

Or maybe I don't understand your question...?

There will be different communication modes. The watch will
communicate with client software on a phone over special protocol (not
AT commands).

However to make Dynawa watch at least somehow compatible with phones
without OS, it will support HFP/HSP in the future. For example the AT
commands on Sony Ericsson could allow such things as incoming message
notification, media player control but it doesn't mean that the Dynawa
software running on a phone would support Sony Ericsson watches.

Some parts you do understand :-)
On phones you have to program an client app which comunicates with the
watch. And this client could be an hybrid client which would support
both types of watches, you could take a look at the client openwatch
from smartmadsoft. And I think rfcomm would be more flexible for
comunication to the watch.

It will use RFCOMM!
This is an open source and there is no full documentation for Sony
Ericsson watches. SE watches have nothing to do with this project.

OpenWatch is my app so there's no reason for including SE watches
support in Dynawa project if there's already app for it.
