Since I've noticed that it isn't possible to communicate with the SE
BT watches from iPhone, with the current official bluetooth
implementation, I've been wondering if I could just make my own BT
watch!
I'm really gladly surprised to find you project!
Do you think it will be possible to implement iPhone communication
with your watch?
I mean, unofficially (aka jailbreak), as officially I think one needs
to use one of those "Made for iPhone" signed chips that slightly
modifies BT protocol and would probably break the communication with
any other devices.
There's this project, BTStack (for jailbroken only), where they
redesign the bluetooth stack for iPhone, making it "normal", but for
now doesn't support RFCOMM, but maybe L2CAP would be enough, if we get
to implement bluetooth software on the watch too! hehe

The watch will most probably implement the L2CAP protocol (as it is
required for RFCOMM) so it could be possible to use the btstack for
creating iPhone client app. We are definitely for the iPhone
compatibility.

yes, RFCOMM requires L2CAP but, unfortunatelly, the BTStack project
still hasn't implemented RFCOMM very well.
And most BT watches I've seen use it for communicating with the client
app (and as they are not opensource with can't change that:/) so the
client app for iPhone is not doable for those at the moment.
Can't wait to get one of This on my hands then!
