Clearing all selected nodes

I have a tree and I want to use ajax and post selected values and then
clear the tree nodes off all the previous selections. I looked through
all the documentation but maybe I missed something. Is there already a
built in method for that like?

#tree.clearAllSelections()

It's not built-in, but trivially implemented:
the 2nd example on this page:

has a 'deselect all' link
