The First Step - Starting a Non-profit

First, I want to let everyone know I added more information at to the website, so please check it out.

While we figure out the education plan for our school, we need to start a non-profit organization. Only non-profits can start charter schools.

My friends who work in state education policy say who we choose to be on the non-profit's board of directors is important. This is where influence comes in. Big names from the worlds of politics, business and education will help us get this effort going and eventually approved by the state board of ed.

Anyone know anyone with influence or -- let's just put it out there -- money? Think hard. Do you know someone who knows someone?
