Ok. So the creaking's fixed. Now I've got ticking. This should be
fun to try and track down.

Couldn't tell since I rode in the rain this morning, but I did grease
the gears this morning, front and rear. not sure if that made any
difference.

Now that you mention it, I get a ticking too. Seems to be coming from
the front wheel, but I'm not sure. It's not annoying enough make me
generate a lot of energy looking for it.

Ticking? Odd. Is this something that happens on every crank? Does
this happen even when you *don't* crank?
When the grease on the front crank is getting a little low, I find
that it will make a "ticking" noise with each moderately strong crank
of the pedals. If I pedal really lightly then it won't tick.
The "spin the pedals backwards" trick has worked pretty well for me so
far. But I did have to add grease again yesterday.
