Announcing the 2019.1 release of Open Dylan

Hello, Dylan hackers!  I'm excited to announce a new release of Open Dylan after quite a long hiatus.  This one has a lot of changes. Perhaps the most notable change is that LLVM is now full-featured and mature on all major platforms. Take a look at the release notes to see what else is new; there is a lot.

We expect to make LLVM the default back-end in the next release, along with a package manager and workspace tool that should simplify working with Dylan library dependencies.

Special thanks go to Bruce Mitchener for all his work improving Open Dylan and many of its libraries and documentation, and to Peter Housel for all the LLVM work.  Without them this release would not have been possible.

Cool! I’ll see if the LLVM version lets me figure out how to complete the implementation of DEP-0007.

(but I just started a job so hopefully I have the time)
