According to Cult of Mac you should be able to just download a trial of iWork 09 and then upgrade for free, but I don't know if that will work since owning iWork 09 didn't give me the upgrades. Apple really should just make the whole thing free since it's basically free except for odd cases where people lose their copy.
I tried this the last night and it worked like a charm, but you have to first make sure you've got the latest version of OS X Yosemite installed, or else you'll probably get error messages. Since Apple probably didn't intend for this 5 year old trial to work this way, you might also want to do this as soon as possible, should the loophole get fixed.
I have the full version of iWork 09 installed. However the App Store does not show the update for me. What should I do? I also cannot download iMovie and iPhoto from App Store for free too, even after I press the accept button.
This is crazy people, I had an outdated version of Aperture trial and it updated. I am not responsible for this mistake, it happens. But I do not encourage the looting of apps. Apple was more than kind to give us Mavericks for free and now you are robbing them blind because of a glitch.

I think my problem was I had already downloaded and completed the 30 day trial four years ago. Hopefully they'll shoot you a redemption code or something assuming you registered your new computer before prematurely nuking it. After a few minutes it showed I had 3 updates available to Pages, Numbers, Keynote. I suspect that the only time you can accept the bundle is when iLife is already on your computer; thus, you need to have done this before reinstalling. Quick question: Will I be able to update in the future or not at all? It was a while ago I broke the disk down but I am pretty sure they are all hidden files and thats what makes it all a bit harder.
