problems with dxf2gcode

Hello.

My name is Martin and I'm looking for successor for my CAM Expert software.

To me, it seems that dxf2gcode could do the job.

I'm running Kubuntu 20.04 on my laptop and I already installed dxf2gcode with muon package installer.

When I start the GUI everything seems to be okay.

But as soon as I try to open a dxf file nothing happens and the "loading" or "hourglass" cursor appears.

Here the terminal output when I start dxf2gcode and try to open the dxf-file:

Try to load one of the test dxf files you will find in the source folder of dxf2gcode or try to load another file. I think the dxf you want to load ist not drawn in a good way.

I just see it now. You use python 3.8. This is not supported please read the README …..

Hello Christian.

Thank you for the hint.

As dxf2gcode was installed by the provided package manager of Kubuntu, I thought that all dependencies are fulfilled.

I will read the README and hope that I will be able to get dxf2gcode running.
