Hi everyone,
I have been playing with DXF2GCODE for a little while, and I like its simplicity. I've just finished building my own desktop CNC based on grbl and a bunch of junk parts, so it's great to have access to such useful software.
I just downloaded the Pocket Milling version and it works! I have to set a tool offset (left or right) then select Pocket, but it does generate the toolpath I expect. I signed up to say thank you.
What is needed to bring this into the main package? It doesn't make sense to have different packages for different sets of features.
What I would really like on the right-click menu is 'peck drill', then I think all of my requirements would be met:
Click a path
Select inside cut/outside cut/pocket/peck drill
Done!
I know I can do peck drilling using a named layer, but I'd like it on a menu too because sometimes you are not in control of the layer names. And probably peck drilling should only be allowed for point objects in the DXF, not paths.
Also, is it really necessary to compile it to install it? It was a bit tedious and didn't actually work, so I just run dxf2gcode.py from the command line.
Anyway, thanks!
Andrew
