Know someone with an awesome idea that needs funding in Connecticut? Well we're the Awesome Foundation CT, and we want to work with you to help fund awesome projects.

The Awesome Foundation is an international organization devoted to forwarding the interest of awesomeness in the universe. Every month, one $1000 no-strings-attached grant is awarded by each autonomous chapter to projects and their creators. Often, these projects fall under the categories of the arts, the sciences, or charity, but any and all applications are welcome.

The Connecticut chapter began about a year ago, and we're looking to expand our applicant pool by increasing public awareness of who we are and what we're doing. Some of our recent grant winners have introduced a robotics program to elementary school students in Stamford, composed a CD of symphony lullabies for the neo-natal ICU at Danbury Hospital, and painted building murals in downtown Bridgeport; we'd love even more ideas like these.

So now, we've come to you. If you know anyone (yourself included!) who has an awesome idea, but needs some money to make it happen, encourage them to submit an application before this month's deadline, December 5th. And help us spread the word. We suggest that projects seeking an Awesome Grant are useful to a community, make an impact, and are visible, but we're flexible—we'll consider every application we get.

Thanks,
The Awesome Foundation—Connecticut Chapter

P.S. Help us stay in touch! If you or your organization likes us on Facebook or follows us on Twitter, we'll try to reciprocate. Also, feel free to check out our website or the international Awesome Foundation's website. We'd love to stay up to date on what you're doing, and hope that you can help others find out about us and what we're doing. Together, we can add more awesome to the universe!
