MICHIGAN PRODUCTION ALLIANCE MARCH 2011 EVENT

Audio Design & Post Production For Films

Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 6:00pm

Grace & Wild Studios - A Stage

23689 Industrial Park Drive

Farmington Hills, MI 48335

Audio Design and Post Production are performed at a very high caliber in Michigan.  This craft appears seamless in commercial projects and in films when the sound team has effectively done their job in terms of engineering and creativity.

Michigan Production Alliance (MPA) will present a unique event during their next monthly meeting, as part two of two sessions covering Post Production.  Grace and Wild studios will host, with Spencer Hall and Andrew Smetek leading practical demonstrations on Foley Sound and Audio Post Production Design of a current project.  Hall and Smetek have worked on ten feature films as a team and are incredibly passionate and practiced in their work. Stepping into their actual workspace for small group breakout sessions, you will hear and see a sound mixer and foley artist firsthand, as they individually work on a theatrical project mix.  These demonstrations will be followed by a lively and informative question and answer period for the entire group.

Do sign up to attend this special event on Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. There will be an opportunity to network with other industry professionals beginning at 6:00pm, and presentations will begin at 7:00pm.  The cost to attend this event is $5 for the public, and cost for MPA members is always free.  A light snack will be provided by one of Michigan’s best caterers.

Please register prior to this event at http://www.mpami.org.  Thank you!
