And, we would like to introduce you to creator, producer, and writer Valarie Kaur's production blog, "Into the Whirlwind." She will chronicle the experience of making Divided We Fall through her own eyes and in her own inimitable style. Break a Leg

Here we go, into the whirlwind ourselves. We start production in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Fresno this week. And, sending us on our way have been three wonderful donors. First, the Sikh Film Foundation in association with the Spinning Wheel Film Festival in Toronto, have given us their first ever production grant. The Spinning Wheel Festival was a catalyst for the documentary, where director Sharat Raju and Valarie Kaur first met and teamed up to create what is now knows as Divided We Fall. That was nearly two years ago. And now, they've helped us continue to make this film. Thank you so much everyone at Spinning Wheel.

 

Additional thanks goes to Kulvir S. Gill and Nitasha Sawhney. Both have generously contributed to the production. We've been fortunate to have many like them supporting us. And although we continue to need support – financial, spiritual, practical – we've received an outpouring and it's enabled us to start production this week.
