Now then.

Have you ever seen a vampire with a moustache? I'm planning to spend at least some of the coming weekend in the guise of a noble citizen of Uberwald and suspect that my moustache may have to go. I don't think it's in keeping with the character. I'm not too precious about it - they do grow back, even for the differently alive - but wondered what others' thoughts were. Can it stay or must it go? Advice appreciated.

Can you wax it Poirot fashion?  That would work, no?

Don't see why not, suppose it depends on the type of moustache...can't see a long bushy one being in keeping (plus would get in the way of the fangs/bite action) but any other should look okay...

Gary Oldman had one in Dracula. If it's good enough for Dracula ...

A vampire should be well groomed... I'd say neatly trimmed facial hair is ok.

I'm pretty sure there have been ones with goatee style beards... possibly bad guys, but still.

Basically, if it looks good with the rest of the costume it will work. Just don't do anything to make yourself sparkle ;)

Ah, good advice there. Thank you, all of you. I shall investigate waxing, give it a bit of a trim and see how it looks.

Paula, I most certainly won't be sparkling. Well, I might sparkle slightly because I spend too much time in dance studios ever to be COMPLETELY glitter-free, but that's just everyday sparkling. One can only do one's best.

The first vampire who sparkles will be put to death (final death that is). :)
Vampires don't sparkle.  I've served enough to know.

I'd say keep the moustache, especially if your vampire is a bit of a
rakish type of chap. It'll all help towards the image :-)

I may be bringing glittery eyeshadowy stuff along, but thankfully not
enough to add unwitting sparkle to unwary vampires... :-)
