DTC AC Bus Route No. 724 - from Dwarka Sec 19 Pkt 3 to Nehru Place

Dear Friends

 

As per media reports - 'Navbharat Times, 30th-Aug-2008 Page No. 5', From this Monday DTC is going to start an AC Bus Service (Trial basis) on route No. 724, between Dwarka, Sec-19, Pocket-3 and Nehru Place. On the basis of the commuters response they will take further decision on the same

 

Residents are requested to observe/monitor and provide more details of the same to  fellow Dwarka Forum Members/Dwarka residents to regularise this service at the earliest

it would be better if it is able to cover Sect 13, 3,4 Madhu vihar etc., if it goes in the usual route of Sect 19, Sect 10-6 mkt and turn from the fire station then it will not be fruitful. i request the forum to advise the DTC the proper route so that the bus service is effectively used and more buses are introduced.

 

It would be proper for the bus to start from Sect 19-pkt 3, go through Kargil Flats, Turn to Sect 13 Metro Station, Cover Sect 13, 14 DDA Flats, Turn Right towards Sector 3 from Police Choki, then follow the route of 764.

 

Else two routes of 724 / 764 should be introduced one starting from Sect 13/14 and the other from sect 19 pkt 3.

 

this way most of the areas can be covered.

Recollecting from my early days in Janakpuri, the said route was from Uttam Nagar Bus Terminal to Nehru Place. If the trial route is an extension of the same then expect the bus to go to Uttam Nagar via NSIT etc and then from thereon to Nehru Place on the existing route. For ready reference the link below outlines the current route 724 (Uttam Nagar to Nehru Place).  Hope the information is useful and meaningful.

Friends, Today, on my way to work and it would b around 7.20 am aqpprox , I noticed a Red DTC Bus , come from Dabri / JanakPuri side and take a right turn towads Sector 5 at the Sector 1 Traffic Light Intersection. I am surprised the Route is via Dabri Village/Janakpuri.to Nehru Place. We may ask DTC to modify this route Via Domestic Airport towards AIIMS, Nehru Place. Pls give your comments on the Route.

I have seen this 724 Ext. route on the DTC Web. But the timings were missing except for one odd one early in the morning. this bus service, we stay in Sector 9 Plot No 2 .Kindly let us know
