Dear Friends,
One of my friend and neighbour happened to visit the Election Office at Sector-1, Harijan Basti for getting his photo I-Card made. He is narrating his experience here below. If this is the situation, can we sit idle? A number of Dwarka Forum members also must have visited this office. Please share your comments and experience. If you are not satisfied, please raise the issue and make complaints accordingly.
Thanks - P.Menon (9891024230)

I am living in A-39, Plot no. 11,Sector-12,Dwarka and went to the Palam area office for Voter ID card photo today. The following process discrepancies were observed there: 1. There were 2 Qs for counter no. 2 ,one for ladies and one for Gents. But at the end there was only one counter so there was a bottle neck forming at the last point and ladies were the ones who were suffering the consequences. 2. Today being a holiday for most of the offices (Saturday) ,there was a heavy crowd as expected but there was no plan in place to cater to this extra load. There was only one Counter for all the crowd. Is this difficult to understand for ECI that on holidays there should be extra counters to cater the heavy extra load on weekends. 3. For uneducated persons who are not able to surf internet to get the serial no. of the voter list for them, there was a separate Q to counter no. 1 and they had to wait for getting the no. for a full day and then another day for getting the form for photo in the counter no. 2.This is really ridiculous when there are easy methods like pasting the hard copy of the voter list on the 2 -3 notice boards and ask some NGO to provide volunteers to help uneducated poor people. 4. As per the newspapers the time for the office starts at 0900 hrs but they actually opened it on 1015 ..Now people will have to stand for an extra hour in the sun. I went there with my wife leaving my children behind at home assuming that the whole activity will not take more than 1 and 1/2 hour but seeing the misadministration there and waiting for 1 hour in the Q,I became sure thart I will not able to finish the job even after another 3 to 4 hours. One family had to take their child along as there was nobody to take care of him but they also had to return back to home seeing the misadministration at the office. I am afraid that if this is the condition at one of the centers in the prime location of Capital of India, what will be the condition in the villages of north eastern states or for that matter a village in Bihar. I am sure that if this will be the condition at the centre ,nobody from the educated mass of Dwarka societies will be able to have their Voter ID card prepared and ever participate in the elections. As a responsible citizen of India I request you to have a sophisticated process in place so that the actual aim to united and educated India comes true Your Waiting for your feedback Vinod Sharma 9910379812 A-39,Asirwad Apartments,Plot no. 11, Sector-12,Dwarka ,New Delhi Voter list no. 942 and 943 ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Dear Colleagues,
I visited the EC office today in Sec. 1. There was big rush with thin staff, chaos and confusion prevailed in the absence of proper guidance. Due to rush, I have to postpone my programme my programme for the issue of voter icard to a later date.
The only solace that there no last date has been fixed for this purpose so far and this will continue for the time being and the office located there is permanent and not a camp office.
However, EC office should b requested for augmentation of staff and should give due publicity to the fact that there is no last date for the issue of election icare. M K Gupta

And also does someone know if allotment will be only done after GP Singh's
committee submits the report in June.
This is ridiculous, I hope GOD gives it to this RCS office just like he is
torturing us.
