1) Mr. Rajesh Gahlot (BJP) SDMC Standing Committee Chairman and Councillor of Ward No. 136, Matiala won the election from Matiala Assembly Constituency - 34. He got 70,053 votes (36%)

2) His rival and a fairly new face Mr. Gulab Singh (AAP) got 66,051 votes (34%)

3) Incumbent MLA Mr. Sumesh Shokeen (INC) got 48,358 votes (25%)

4) Mr. Satender Singh Rana an independent candidate with Torch as his election symbol got 2,718 votes. He managed more votes than recognized party like BSP whose candidate Mr. Sri Niwas got 2,411 Votes.

5) Other 14 candidates got 3,764 Votes and NOTA also debuted with 636 Votes.

6) Around 3 Lakh voters and 298 Polling Booths makes Matiala the biggest Assembly constituency of Delhi.

There are around 19 candidates. 14 candidates have decimal voting %age. Out of rest 5, 2 candidates get less than 1.5% votes i.e. not even 1000 votes were in their kitty. Out of 3 lakh+ voters only 1.94 lakhs exercised their franchise. Its quite encouraging.

Pankajji,just a personal observation that at time of voting some symbols did look similar strangely so. It cld be slight of sight may b.
But to move on we must focus on development n infrastructure.
