Dear Friends,

I appreciate your comments at the same time request that these mails should also be forwarded to various offcials responsible for the same so that over persistance efforts these people are going to wake up over a period of time as of now they may be sleeping and waiting for some major incident to happen like evteasing or rape at one of these open places/Joints.
I have seen some Policeman taking hafta myslef and spoken to these shopkeepers & temporary shopkeepers for money being paid to various officials including DDA ,SHO,100 Number separately along with MCD
There  are 1000 such shops & ready wala,s in & around Dwarka who are collected Rs 10-50 everyday which comes close to Rs 75,00000 every month & about 8-10 Crore every year which comes from Pockets of people like you and me.

Some Gentleman named Mr Aman from Shahbad village near Railway Phatak is the main conduit between Various authorities and these illigal shops along with various Wine/Bear Shops who need to be booked apart from various people but he is paying hafta to everybody including some Local Politicians so nobody can touch him as per my information with these shopkeepers
He is the Upcomming biggest Leader/Mafia among latest entrants

Best Regards

I agree, There is a bigger or a similar problem in Sec-22 it seems, at the Jankai chownk intersection, The first glaring example of corruption in this country : there is a wine and beer shop diagonolly opposite 2 schools ( in clear violation of every liquor law) patrons from all over adjoining areas park their vehicles on the road and spend their time drinking and eating and use this beer shop like an open air restaurant. The police station right opposite(What is it with Beer shops and Police stations anyway?) to it doesn't seem to care. They are most probably? earning haftas from this beer shop and allow people to conjugate on the internal service lanes and clog up the roads with parked cars.

Dear Pradeep,

The problem of drinking beer openly is a common problem. It seems u have seen at sect-6 only. Pls. give a visit to Ashirwaad chowk (a Request), we have a Wine shop at sect 4 main crossing and diagonally opposite is the police post (sect-11). Every their are 25-30 people sitting openly and drinking beer. Hope somebody can take a PIC and we can ask Mr. Prasoon for help.

Thanx

these warm feelings of the public towards our law enforcement agency need to be conveyed to the seniormost staff of Delhi Police with copy to Home Ministry and Delhi Govt.

Abroad, a common person knows whom to call in case of problem, here the Police agency itself is being projected as a problem. I myself saw once some younsters drinking beer openly in front of the wine shop sec. 6 and instead of confronting them myself i started to look for some police fellows and with difficulty i saw a group of people with some cops sitting inside a maruty van and enjoying refreshment next to the Bikaner sweets.

I somehow could not gather the courage to disturb them in the middle of may be some deal going on with the shopkeeper! who knows?
It is this sorry state of our Law Enforcement that will take some harsh and radical steps in order to change for the betterment of society.

Dear Sir,
I fully appreciate your case the entire idea is to make money by hook or crook that is what Police is doing here they have no humane Touch because they are ill cultured and been treated in the same way by their bosses.
I think entire Police Dept need a formal training of soft skills as well as humane touch of understanding the citizens problems  and genuine concerns also some staff need to be locally  trained by RWA,s & Citizen Organisations understanding the Local Problems & people as to hw to deal with them at local level rather then appointing SPO,s who basically act as touts in most of the cases

Given a chance I am willing to take a case study for Delhi Police for training 100 cops at a time then putting forward the recommendations to the Head of Police so that this looting stops after some time as the case is people are ready to 4 lacs for becomming the Constable in Delhi Police their are cases of cheating every time people police recruitments happens in Delhi Police ,A person who has paid money to get recruited would like to take 10 times that practice has to stop

True, that cops are minting money and their seniors get the share of daily collection. Nothing is hidden, if one stands somewhere near to the place where these men are making challans then you can get PIC also of the same.

Did the traffic Police/ DDA at Dwarka made any arrangements for parking the vehicles near to the market or before making plan of the market ?

Do they mean that people will use cycle rickshaws to visit markets for their daily needs in the absence of proper transport system ?

Police was never interested in providing solutions infact they find ways to mint money.

I would also share an intresting incidence which happened to me at Dwarka sect-1 & 2 crossing while coming from Janakpuri side. Light was green and their were 2-3 vehicle ahead of me including one cycle rickshaw which had slowed our speed. One can note the timing it became orange and then red. Both the vehicles ahead of me jumped and I stopped at the corner of the crossing seeing red light.

Now the cop arrived and asked me to come to the side as I had crossed the Zebra crossing and issued a challan. Though after some arguments I had to pay.

Now one may see that if I had jumped the red light as other two did I would have escaped paying  challan but since I stopped I had to pay.

One can see the timing at that particular light while coming from Janakpuri and also the placement of Zebra crossing which is wrongly marked at that particular crossing.

I remember the same thing when my Hero Honda bike was picked up by cops from a Munirka parking place w/o any any clue at the picked up site. I don't know how much I paid, but I was told that , the actual official amount will be more. First time I was panic as I thought that  my hero honda was stolen.

However, after few months when it repeated in Daryaganj,I was very cool as I was knowing that what I have to do. Again I paid some bribe and got my bike.

Now I am at USA, where if you try to bribe a cop - you will be put on jail.

Dear Sir,

IT IS FOR YOUR INFORMATION Cops here are minting money after new penalties guidelines and sending hafta to their seniors.

Police is not interested in finding the solutions rather they find excuse to make more money ,Why do,nt they make arrangement for traffic rather then picking up cars like mafia and then asking for money in between if you pay them half without the challan.
This week my wife was sick & i had shown her to doctor at the airport then she went to buy medicines from the sector 6 market and since their no specific parking mentioned in the market that too in the morning hours at 11.30 am some Police Goons came and picked her car and went away she kept searching for it for half an hour and kept trying my mobile which was switched off as i was sitting in some important meeting at CSOI  K G Marg.
when i switched on she cried that somebody has taken picked up my car (which was having 2.00000 (2lac) Rs in the bag kept in the car which we withdrew for some personal work same day morning)while i went for 5 minutes to take medicines ,I told her to relax and see in case some police guys have taken it away she kept searching for the car in the scorching summer till 1.30 and became more Sick while in the search of the car she met a police man who asked her Rs 5oo for giving the car back as it was with traffic police .
Around 2pm i told her to go home then when i returned home at 7.30 pm i went to the traffic police station at sector 9opposite ITL School where i found some Police goons asking money on the basis of  Court Orders they were giving only one excuse court orders ... court orders....
I wanted to talk to the Traffic Inspector (Manju Dubey 09811873596) who was busy with taking days personal account of how much money was made by whom asked me to come after some time .
I kept waiting for 30 minutes then again came after and hour she was not ready to listen to the story she said we have already taken a decision kindly pay Rs 8oo and take your car .Finally i paid Rs 800 got the car and when returned home i found my wife was seriously sick due to scorching heat and was admitted to ayushman hospital after two days treatment got a bill of another Rs 6000 and my work suffered for two days just because we did not pay Rs 500 to the Cop .

The Moral of the story is better to pay to these idiot cops something and get out of their business otherwise they,ll keep torchering you without understanding your problems as if court have ordered them to torcher the Public

Hi Rejimon,

Thanks for your valuable inputs and contributions to our dwarka egroup, which are quite useful and timely. I have some clarifications relating to the traffic rules in vogue as follows:
  1. Whether listening to news/ non musical tapes (CDs)  while sitting on the back seat of in the car is also banned, even if you have a driver.
  2. Can one smoke sitting on the back seat?
If not, what is the punishment for these?

Thanks and Regards,

Anand
