The details on the ROUTE and Who are allotted these GRAMIN Sewa etc are online after taking up tirelessly u/s 4 of RTI Act 2005 with Transport Department. Some improvement is there, still lot to do.
Specicially on GRAMINSEWA(where is GRAM in Dilli?) You all may refer them http://delhi.gov.in/wps/wcm/connect/doit_transport/Transport/Home/Public+Notification/ (Left side menu).
DTP have already taken a number of them. Please note these permits under GS is suued without proper consultaiton including DTP. Purely for POLITICAL Reason and VOTE BANK and MAFIA of Transporters and help Unions etc.
What is the need of the CITIZEN is some action to compell the Transport Department is to curb this.
If any of you have time to refer above you will fine these Gramin Sewa already violated all provisiona and hence the permit need to cancelled.
The so called GRAMIN Sewa annouced http://www.delhi.gov.in/wps/wcm/connect/doit_transport/Transport/Home/Public+Notification/GRAMIN+SEWA+SCHEME SILENTLY??. The uploaded document is with dated 18/6/2010. Have any one noticed this published in a Leading NEWS PAPER ?
Interestly the applicaiton is need on PLAIN Paper..
They need to fit GPS.. While you will find Not even SINGLE one have GPS while Transport Department issued permit to all.
What is Mr. Arvind Singh Lovely Interest in this Scheme. Irrespcitve route no these are running across delhi, including National Highway, Ring Road, Outer Ring road.. that the reason they are not fitted with GPS. As we all know the GPS will give the location of its movement.. VERY SMART MOVE.. Transport Officials ? Please note as per Item No. 9 Vehicle Registration need Installation certificate of GPS.
Another issue very smalrtly put EITHER PAN or VOTER Card. The transport department not INSISTING on PAN..to increase the Blackmoney and the people who finance the vehicle or who running not monitored ???
God only know these drivers are erstwhile BLUE Line drivers ? As the scheme says about the drivers need REFRESHERS training from Transport Dept.
You will not find a single one with PSV -Public Service Badge
Not even one will disclose the name of the owner and details as prescribed in Rule 8 & helpline no. as per rule 9.

Just like DDA Draw yesterday here one Family got 3 flats, here one person got 4 permits.. There may be many such .. So far 4891 registered as per Transport Depart Central Server while another place it says 5060

Above all, you check with STF- Special Task Force on Transport or other agencies like UTTIPEC/DIMTS or Delhi Traffic Police.. Have they ever consulted before this scheme ?

Blue line earlier were killing road userers and it will do the same thing by plying OVERLOADED all the times , the 7 seater gramin sewa use to take 17-25 passengers ,like that of mini Bus. Yup..in TOI today...Dont know how effective this would be. But again it depends on proper planning and execution of the project. If done properly..sure this will be a good. Clean fuel.Gramin Seva - less said the better. Dont know how to tackle this. Have raised with all authorities..still no respite from this menace...!!! Delhietes are fed up. But no respite..!!!!--

As per news and since other internal public transport system failure.Govt is considering POD Cars for Dwarka along with other area..WDYT ?How it look like ??I think if we compare with GRAMINSEWA this may be new generation... Will it?

To best of knowledge , every 4 to 7 GS are owned by a single transporter and similarily , like blue line ,most of these are plying on contract bassis @ Rs. 1000.00 per day like Blue line , what shall be the future of other road users.?

As usual, there is a high level of influence and politics with this Gramin Sewa. From nowhere the Transport Department came out with a Scheme. The Scheme itself says permits will be given to ply on rural roads, unauthorised, resettlement colonies and JJ clusters. The Scheme was made out in such a form that, there are places where DTC is not covering well and to help people in these settlement, provide a facility. The idea may be was to provide transportation upto well connected road. And some cunning official added "upto ring road and in any case cross boundary of ring road" !!
The Scheme was "first come first serve basis" - same as A Raja's 2G allocation. The Scheme list out whole lot of conditions and procedures like displaying owner's name at the rear, uniform, number of passengers etc.
And these vehicles are all over the place, no control. As Reji stated, this could be a scheme to benefit the blueline guys - a super scheme engineered by the politicians

there is no doubt the Politician i.e the Transport Minister involvement in this.
Un answere questions are:
1. date on the Scheme announced.
2. Date on the scheme published in two leading news papers and details of the same.
3. Have transport department consulted STF on Transport for Delhi, UTTIPEC, Delhi Traffic Police ?
4. Have department prepared any DPR for this mode of transport like in other areas ?
5. Without checking the Permission Rules adhereance, how did thse GS allowed to ply on roads.
NO GPS, NO Helpline No, No Address and so on.
6. What was the criteria for ROUTE Plan. Who all consulted.
if some one could ask these question ? thru an RTI

It seems that this has been started to compensate the owners of blue line but the public require some service whether it is provided by DTC buses or by Gramin Sewa. Suspiciaons are being raised that it is another spectrum allocation but those who are left out from getting the 'rewaris' may raise the issue more effectively by brining the irregularities in allocation to the fore.
