Dear Residents, I along with a TOI reporter inspected the sanitation conditions in Dwarka today around 2PM. Starting from Sec 9 metro station towards sector 9 and then to sec 6, we were able to see at least 10 sites where the garbage was spilled over and around bins. It was also surprising that some bins are right in front of society gates, yet, spilling and rag pickers were doing their job.

 

Will it make sense to brief your guards about it? You can:

1.       Make sure that bins around your societies are under your possession and kept within the reach of guards

2.       Guards can ask the DMSWSL people to clean the area around the bins and also disinfectant them when they visit to lift garbage

3.       Guards can make sure no rag pickers are spilling the garbage and stay away from bins

4.       Guards can call the agency in case the garbage is not lifted before zero garbage hours

 

Small things for us to make a significant change. Let’s take a step ahead.

Please ask the garbage collectiom team to keep the empty bins off the road away from carriageway.

Sure. Their number is 47502291/98. The zero garbage hours are not defined in Dwarka though.

It has been observed that National Highway Auhority office building in Sec 10 Dwarka (near sec 10 Metro Station parking) is disposing and burning there waste like papers etc. in open in front of there office building daily at 7:00 pm, causing polution.

It seems they are using the old practice of

Disposing off the old useless records where as

All over world paper shredder machines are used

And the paper is recycled for some other use.
