This is to submit that the menace of unauthorized speed breakers has been on rise in Dwarka. The field staff along with all senior staff of DDA is for sure sleeping. As a road managing agency it is the duty of field staff to remove any such illegally installed speed breakers and take action against the persons those have done this. All of our complaints in the past more than one years have gone into deaf ears. The staff has refused to own the responsibility. The dozens of existing speed breakers in Dwarka area are unauthorised, inconvenient and dangerous. These breakers neither meet the approved specifications and are nor authorized by traffic police. DDA must know that without the approval of traffic police no speed breaker can be constructed by any one. I have filed complaints for specific locations as well. There are several such illegal speed breakers in sector 19B and new breakers have come up in front of Krishna Gardens Sector-19B. If every housing society starts construction of speed breaker where the traffic will flow? It is not understood what is the interest of DDA staff in granting permission to construct these speed breakers by the housing societies.

 

As staff is failing to adhere to this basic maintenance activity despite repeated references, it is requested that (1) appropriate action be taken against the responsible officers, (2) Arrangement for instant removal of all such illegal rubberized speed breakers be made from Dwarka and (3) Action be initiated against those who installed them.
