Complete agreement with you.
You kow at time I get Veg/Fruits from Khan Market or INA which I found less costlier and better quality than Dwarka.
I dont think boycotting will help. As who care for our CALLs?. Few of us may but if the necessity of veg for that day one has to buy.
The best is to promote these Weekly Bazars but in proper organised manner.
Again I am short of resources to get indepth to some of these issues and get update from DDA.
For example as per Dir Planning Dwarka some veg/fruit bazar site allocated in sector 16. No update after that. One need to follow up all these, which are time consuming and at time fraustuating as few officials who hold information dont share with us even with RTI unfortunately. The current SE HQ mr. JP Verma of Dwarka as per records look like that from his response so far. As recently filed an RTI on Housing Area Facility development in Dwarka, no update so far.

I have found another list of vegetable vendors land allotted in Sector 20 as per DDA website but on ground no such vendors. So sought clarification.

We need mix of facilities. After initial hicups now almost every society have Mother Diary Booth within its complex.?? Where it is not there may start immediately.

Similarly we need to have more Vegetbale Mother Diary Booth per sector.

We got little success in getting Kendriya Bhandar in Sector 3 NSIT and Sector 7 Ramphal Chowk. Hope similarly people in Sector 17 or 16 could try something in GG University area or near by.

Yes, if all our citizen join we can certainly make it impact.

Another option is Drive out to suburbs of Dwarka on weekends or evening , you may get fresh vegetable from Farms near the villages around Dwarka.

I hope we will get more VOLUNTEERs to remove DEADLOCK and get more facilties and Dwarka becomes self sufficient.

Dear Mr. Rejimon,

I would like to bring the matter concerning expensive vegetables sold by the retailers and earning 100-400 % through the Dwarka forum to the citizens of the Delhi. The farmer which put maximum time and energy to produce the vegetables get throw away price while the retailers buy these products from the say Delhi mandi at very little reasonable cost sell the same to the consumers at 100 t0 400 % profit. Can we through the Dwarka forum take up the matter and put an appeal to the citizens to boycott the retailers for once or twice a week and not to buy any vegetables from the retailers enabling them to understand and sell the vegetables in reasonable. I think if every one joins and cooperate it like an movement we can achieve the goal and force the retailers, vendors to sell the vegetables at reasonable profit instead of 100 to 400 profit.

While shopping at mother dairy veg/froit shops, my observation is that quality is not good. Veg do not always appear fresh and price advantage is not appreciable. Also price in diff areas of Delhi are not same.
If we compare the rates with comparison charts appearing in papers from Azadpur Mandi, it seems we are exploited even at these booths.

some one has to go to deep.

Ask for these info which are advertised in paper also on their website for Kg wise.

There are many people who earns.
If Potato is Rs 7.75 to 11.25 per PG  in Whole sale price.
While transportting they have to pay to at every RED Light for those MTV/MGV(tata 407?) have to pay to Traffic Police, Then at Local level for example Sector 8/20 SPG Complex on Monday they keep these vegies.. Have to pay Local Pradhan- The guy who organise these markets and deal with various authorities which may include, DDA, DP, DTP, MCD, may be PFA people etc

In additon the GENERAL BRANCH of MCD Najafgarh Issue a Receipt of Rs. 20 (OFFICIALLY) from each of these vendors for that day. I collect such receipt from these vegetable vendors when ever I go, so that one day I am going to DIG deep at MCD accounts whethere these are actually deposited or not and who is behind this and under what account head etc..

I hope if some of you could volunteer- Things could improve little.
Dont expect much. you know why.
From Traders to these hawkers they all beleive the people in Dwarka lives in flat which costs over 1 Crore have ENOUGH cash. Whetehr one bought a DDA Flat in orginal from DDA for 6 or 10 Lakh and if the value increased today which is NOTIONAL ? as we own and live and not for RESALE for us it has no such Market Value. But these people consider these as the basic point to fix rates in Dwarka.

Also the money and economics changed. Have any of you noticed how many ATM in Dwarka ? Could any one show that much ATM in Mumbai or elsewhere ?

It all simple business things where the end user is
the most sufferer , MCD issues a receipt to the vendors
in these markets is called Teh-Bazari it is a common practice
it is charged for cleaning the place.
If 20 people from Dwarka are ready to join with me we can
have a Cooperative Vegetable Shop and many other shops
where we are all feeling that we are charged unfair.

Dear Colleagues,

I still feel that we should apeal to all the Dwarka citizens to
boycott the vendors / retailers for few weeks and see the results.
when no one is buying their vegetables and they run into losses for
few days they will realize the impact and learn the lesson. I hope we
should make efforts and wait for results for the movement for the
benefit of the society.

I shall highly appreciate to propagate the idea among your contacts
and make it a successful movement.

The proposed model has not served the purpose for Gurgaon residents. Worst would be the societies will end up providing space for veg vendor and cost will continue at par as other veg vendors.

The value is in large scale rather than in having veg vendor inside each society. Had that been the case Walmart, Tesco would never have become so big.

Said model is working perfectly fine in 2-3 cghs in sec 4 of DWARKA

Fixed time -morning  2-3 hours has been assigned to select vegetable/ fruit suppliers with strict price and quality control on the supplies.

think what the poor farmer is getting after so much efforts and month
