Dear Sir

Please explain..
Also, do one really need 11 KVA in normal home. Perhaps 3-5 KVA should be enough for a normal home with 1 AC/fridge/lights etc running at same instant.
We pay 11 KVA fixes charges whereas we might actually just need 3-5 kva?.. These are fixed charges i assume..

regards
Krishna

Please refer to the agreement for SPD your MC has signed. I think SPD agreements have 7 years lock in.

Please try to understand what Mlaik Saheb is trying to say.

He is simply saying that Delhi Government has announced the scheme of
subsidy even if u r consumer up to 400 units W.E.F 1.8.2013.There is a
different slab for up to 200 unit and other slab for 201 to 400
units. But the question is we people living in Dwarka especially in
society wont be able to take benefit even consume 400 or less unit .It
implies that the scheme launched for middle class but we middle class
can not take the benefit. And therefore why we should not ask Delhi
Govt to allow separate connection for residents of CGHS.

If the member of the society provides us the data we may take up this
issue with Delhi Government. We need the information that how many
residents are living in the society and out of which how many are
consuming less than 400 units per month.

you are probably confusing 11KV with 11 KVA.  Single point connection at 11KV means u  receive supply at11000 volts. step it down to420 volt  provide HT &LT swtithgear, a step down transformerdo all maint and adm cages. Whereas  kva depends on yr requirmnt

It is really shame on this govt that they only think of their vote banks.

Idea is fine.
Delhi govt. and BSES should be asked to float a scheme wherein those living in residential societies in Dwarka and having a single point power connection be allowed to go for individual connection. This will benefit all living in Societies having single point connection.
This may be treated as vote bank politics and local leaders can be pushed up. Election is nearing and they may take up the issue. But DF can approach Del govt. and BSES for the above.

My electricity bill for July consumption,  raised by our Society - United, Sector 4, was Rs. 2103 for consuming 299 units only,  So  I also feel since long that we the residents of dwarka societies should also be allowed separate direct meter from BSES to get the benefit for slab rates.

In our society, we have individual BSES connections. The fixed cost for 11 kW is 220Rs. They have diff slots like upto 2KV is 40Rs, from 2-5 is Rs100 and than 20Rs/KV.
Generally a person might use 2-3 KV normally for a single small family with single AC.. Their slots are directed towards middle class users to pay Rs100 instead of Rs60 as most users will have 1 AC 1 Fridge etc which will be 2-3 KV only at max. So their slots for 3-5 costs Rs 100 indirectly taking 40Rs each bill from millions of middle class people only..

Anyway one can reduce the KV usage from 11KV to 5 KV and save some 120Rs constantly in each bill. I feel 5 KV is suiffcient to run 2 AC, fridge and around 4-5 fans and 5-10 CFLs in parallel which I feel is sufficient for everyone..

People can contact their call centre for same.

Why we should adopt the defeatist attitude. What wrong hv we done
BSES just buy the power from generating agency and it gets transmitted to the society thro' the meter installed by them.
all t&d losses are borne by the society.Their only job is to take the reading of the meter and send the bill to the society.Entire investment on substation has been borne by the  the society.BSES can not ALTER THE TERMS AND CONDITION MAKING THEM ADVERSE FOR THE SOCIETY.THE MATTER NEEDS TO BE TAKEN UP STRONGLY WITH DERC

Fully agree with Sh. Chetal.
Instead BSES should allow the Slab Rates of 200/400 Units per Flat for CGHS having Single Point Connection. This will solve the Issue of Connection whether it is Single Point or Individual for Flats.

For Example for CGHS with 100 Flats the Billing should be as below :
===================================================
Rate of 200 Units Slab should be for 200 x 100 = 20,000 Units
Rate of 400 Units Slab should be for 400 x 100 = 40,000 Units.
etc.

Please suggest.
