Dear Fellow Members,

Every month we pay Maintenance Charges to our respective societies thru issuing cheque. I feel in today's time this is a time consuming exercise and most of us can easily make the payment thru Online Transfer (NEFT or IMPS). Everyone knows the benefits of Online transfer.

Few of the benefits are as follows:

1) No need to write cheque (Save Paper)

2) Would save man hours of society office staff for depositing cheques

3) Quick credit in society's account (2 - 3 hrs in case of NEFT and less than a minute in case of IMPS Transfer, IMPS can be done of Sundays, National Holidays also)

Want to know from fellow members if their RWA or Society have provided option of paying maintenance charges thru Online Mode? If yes do they face any difficulties.

Would be great if this option can be discussed by all the members.

Regards,

Pankaj

Online Payment of Society's Maintenance Charges
Dear Mr Pankaj,

We at Abhiyan Society already have this option. Its quite helpful,
especially for members staying abroad !
We have 3 members who do transfers quite regularly. Anybody and
society who have an Account in any bank can easily do this every
month !
All you need is the Bank's address, IFSC or Swit code of the Bank,
which is available in the cheque book or you can ask the Bank people
or can get from the Internet.

Dear Arun ji,

Its quite common all over Delhi! The funny part is the notice issued
by the Delhi Government long time back is only in English whereas the
people who burn the leaves are safai karamcharis who cannot read !!!

See the Notice dated 17 December 1998 !!!

Dear Mr. Verma / Mr. Jayaraman,

Happy to hear that society (Godrej Apartments/Abhiyan Apartment) have implemented online remittance of maintenance charges, this would be so very convenient. Since 2006 I have been paying my mobile, telephone, credit card bills thru NEFT Online transfer which I find so easy. After introduction of IMPS, online transfer has become even more easier. In comparison I find writing cheque for society a cumbersome activity and being once a month affair I tend to make errors while signing cheque :(

Regarding online remittance of society maintenance bill I have one doubt. If two Flat Owners have got bill of same amount than how the society will come to know that which flat owner have remitted the same? Means how this credit get identified in the statement of society's account as amount is identical.

Regards,

Pankaj

Dear Mr Pankaj,

Normally, the members should inform the society the day when they have made
the payment. It would then be easier to check with the Bank. Another option
would be if the person sends NEFT his details would have also come to the
Bank. They will tell you the name of the person who has remitted. And I
think the account number of the person would also be there in the bank
statement, which you get every month.

On the occasion of world environment day, our society management celebrated it in its own way
1. They excavated areas around the trees and left it open for the last 15 days, saying we are saving trees whereas in this peak summer they started dying n drying.

2.Second step they are taking is to removal of all potted plants from every individuals house saying that having too much plants at home can cause water crisis and removal of these small trees and plants on the ground can be helpful for making more parking slots.

3. They stopped entries of private malis and plant seller in the society.

Please suggest how we can stop them with good alternative solutions which took years to bring this greenery.

Quite funny we people are! Excuse me please.

Even if the advertisement was in Hindi, do we expect the Sweepers to visit Delhi Govt website and read the advertisements and follow it?

Its the senior officials who should be taking the responsibility.

Similar burning use to be here. But on informing their head/boss it has stopped. It seems things / info are not precipitated to the bottom from the top responsible officer.
