Dear Members,
I need ur opinion on the under mentioned.
My Father visited a store on Sunday, where he forgot his mobile on counter, he realised the same with in 5 minutes he left the store (in his car which was parked just on the gate of the showroom's in their private area) after which he returned and asked for the mobile.
They've clearly told him that they don't know about it. When he informed me about the incidence, I called up and ask for the same. Suddenly I remembered that there was a CCTV which was installed there, so I ask for the footage and went to the store.
Primilinary they refused to show me the footage as they were not having right of it, I called on 100 and lodged the complaint after which they told me & to police to show it in the next morning.
I tried up chasing them till evening after which finally they called me to come & check but when I reached there I came to know that their camera was not working and has recording till August.
When I told my suspicion that the same may be deleted to save their goodwill, they offered me the price of the phone, which I refused & told them to return my phone. The police person told them to come to police station next morning.
Next day I was out of Delhi so I did not joined them and when I spoke to police man he told me that there is no possibility of their involvement. When I ask showroom to check the footage again they simply refused.
I've a clear suspicion that it has been taken by either the salesman or the cashier, Kindly help me with your opinion as to how to go about legally nabbing them as they may have already tuned the policeman.
