As you are awrae that one incident of theft in our society took place yesterday .I was informed that a team of police visited the site.They must have taken the required information.
 
You are requested to please register the case and give direction to concerned officials to expedite the case.This is unfortunate that such incidents are taking place regularly in this area and therefore,some concrete measure needs to  be taken in this respect.For any assistance from our side pls  let us know.

Theft and other crime still increasing.

In my opinion have 2/4 reasons.

 

1. The INTERNAL SECURITY:

 a)   We still dont have a RECOGNISED and As per new Security Bill regulated Security Agencies List from Delhi Police.

 b) The Management of CGHS/RWA failure to install CCTV.

 

    I would like to site my own society example, in earlier days we had CCTV and each and every Flat member could watch who is at Society Gate on the A/V ZERO Channel. Now they have completely remove the CCTV for last many years resulting petty theft.

Latest one LIFT Equipment worth over Rs. 1.5 lakh  stolen. I was told instead of major Lift Companies some CGHS given contract to pvt individuals due to high cost by OTIS. When situation where PARTS required these PVT people employ thiefs to steal OTIS equipments from other socieities. Have any other such thefts from othe societies in your knowledge?

 

I do understand the the money important and in case of DDA Pocket RWA the collection is mere Rs. 50, how could they provide a good security and install CCTV? We need to fnd solution to this as we have been writing to govt to reduce and tax exemption to CCTV Equipments. May be if all the members of large DDA Pocket put Rs. 100 will be able to install minimum CCTV. In the case of CGHS there is CRUNCH of Funds.

c. The Tenenant Verification : This is totaly neglected by all including myself as if in our block/complex if a new tenants comes we must ask society/rwa office whether this new family/person as teneant have verified or not. We dont do that. Nor our RWA's. As a matter of RWA also need a large number of volunteers.. IF some people could do volunteer on Sunday things could improve. I was told that some DDA Pockets like Sector 18/19 have better security may learn leasson from them.

 

d. Workers; No worker or Contractor be allowed inside the complex without forms duly filled and take A Security amount of Rs. 1000 to 5000 for Contractor.

e. Any suspicious elements found in the complex inform the 100 or if you want remain annonymous then use 1090.

 

f. RWA/CGHS create within society a SUB GROUP to handle Security with YOUNG Boys: They will do RANDOM checking at Nights as surprise including Registry Entry whether complete address and vehicle no entered or not etc. In case absense of FIRE ALARM or Public Address sytem in the case of DDA RWA Pockets install Large BELLS to Alert citizen in case of any major disaster or incidents.

 

2 . OUTER Security: The Delhi Police/ DDA/ BSES/MCD.

 

    Delhi Police:

a) We still dont know who is the Beat Contable and Dvision Officer. This list must be shared by ACP/SHO urgently with all RWA/CGHS.

b) The beat constable and DVO must do Random surprise checks at day/nite on the private security staffs/ register/ un verified tenants and landlord be arrested as per CP Rule.

c) Once or at least in every quarter there must be a Security Meeting by Residents and Concerned Police Officials.

d) All cases complaints must be Registered and issue Receipt of FIR/Diary No immediately to complainants.

e) PCR and Motorbike Patrolling to be extensive.

f) The check post security must be totally INDEPENDENT and AUTONOMOUS so if any one questioned or stopped he must be thoroughly checked and asked all details. There are incident, I noticed where DP staffs QRT (Quick Reaction Team) summoned the bike riding young boys without helmet. Immediately on stoppin they called some number and try to give the phone to QRT Team, who refused to take phone and claimed by the boy his TAU who is also constable at Thana on the line. Am sure such incidents are regular across.

 

DDA :

Electrical:

Last month We made a JOINT Patrolling with Delhi Police to some areas. Then only we realised the problem some of these staffs face.

1. At many location where the put up dont have street lights. In the absence of lights the upcoming traffic find difficult to judge the barricades. The blikers put up by DP are battery operated and work only for few hours. They have to stand whole nite without light and even not allowed to burn coal or woods.

Following this I had made another 3 rounds of survey with DDA's Electrical Division and showed them. Now they have promised in WRITING within few weeks the location shown will be lit up.

2. Some locations are REMOTE and BORDER of Dwarka have no light facility for example next to Chawla exit and at the end of the PWD Tunnel road near Sector 25 and near Najafgarh Nalah. We need to find some solution to have SOLAR LIGHTS. If any one could come forward help/guide in this.

 

DDA Civil:  Its been time and again requesting DDA to put boundry wall to all Vacant Plots. But they have still over 50% uncovered. The latest dumping of Body on vacant plot near Metro is known to all of you. 

 

BSES: Street lights. Now I am in receipt of the copy of the letter and an ORDR from DERC concerning the street lights. After lot of follow up the BSES repaird most of the lights that we given them the list. In some location there is no installation as per DERC direction the DDA Electrical need to install them and given them back to BSES for maintenance. The DDA had sought list from BSES in this regard and hope some movement in this matter.

 

PUBLIC and CITIZEN: Responsibility.

 

We still take casual attitude to all problems.

 

IF THE LIGHT/POWER IS GONE.. WE CHECK OUR NEIGHBOURS FLATS AND IF THE NEIGHBOUR ALSO HAVE NO POWER THEN WE DONT MAKE ANY EFFORTS. AS MAJORITY OF US THINK SOME ONE ELSE WILL FIX THAT PROBLEM.

 

IF WE GOT SPOILED CLOTH PRESSED BY THE DHOBHI WE USE ABUSE LANGUAGE.. BUT IF THE SIMILAR E MISTAKE IS DONE BY SOME OTHER POWER/INFLUCENTIAL OR OTHER NEIGHBOURS WE REMAIN SILENT.

 

I think we need to change this attitude and take SOCIAL RESPONSIBILIY.

 

An INJUSTICE HAPPENING TO YOUR NEIGHBOUR and you can remain as an ONLOOKER.. You never know when it going to STRIKE you similar fate and look for help and no one assist you....

 

So my humble request in the NEW YEAR please THINK of above point, I am sure many of you have MORE valuble suggestion and along ACTIONS that you would like to take reduce these security problems.

 

Let us PUT Januray for SECURITY as TOP Priority.
