Sub:    Un-schedule Power Cut in Dwarka Sub-city

 

Dear Mr. Singh,

 

We would like to apprise you of the un-scheduled power cuts that are taking place all over Dwarka and, specifically, in Sector 6 area is the most affected where power cuts happen on a daily basis at night between 10 to 3 AM.  As you are aware that Dwarka Sub City is Master Plan Sub City and as per the plan it states that it has the following infrastructure as per Master PLAN and Zonal Plan (K).

 

1. Ref No.  8.5.5 ELECTRICITY * "The total power requirement for Dwarka sub-city has been envisaged at 400 Mega Watt. A grid station has been set up which receives 400 KV of power supply from the overhead feeder and transforming to two 220 KV grid   stations. These will be further transformed to eleven 66 KV grid station & finally to 11KV grid stations. One sub-station is supposed to cater for 5000-7500 population".

 

2. Majority of the societies and DDA pockets have come up after the year 2000 and have proper/latest            electrical wiring/installations, substations and all necessary requirements including the FAST MOVING Electronic Meter. To read/detect electricity thefts, all transformers and energy panels have meters installed by BSES. The Dwarka Sub-City is known for ZERO THEFT.

 

3. BSES is not maintaining many of HT/LT Substations in various pockets and CGHS apartments. The condition of many of the transformers are in really poor maintenance and upkeep of the area/property.

 

4. In spite of all the above mentioned features BSES is regularly PUNISHING / Harassing residents of Dwarka by resorting to unscheduled power cuts on a daily basis under the pretext of one or other excuse.

 

5. We have been taking up this issue with the BSES on a daily basis.  But, unfortunately BSES does not have a valid reason and they have resorted to replying saying “there is some problem in the grid. It is not able to take the load”.

 

6. Now we fail to understand why on earth the grid cannot be upgraded and the problem fixed once and for all.  Also refer to Master Plan and Zonal plan promised such step in place.

 

7. The record of complaints can be obtained from BSES as we have been mailing them on a daily basis. Complaints have also been lodged through sms to senior level personnel. It also to be noted their helpline/complaint number don’t respond often. The BSES website launching complaints also gives error.

 

8. Also it is pertinent to note the fact that approximately 1000 street lights, if not more, for which BSES takes money either from DDA/MCD/Delhi Govt. actually are found not functioning/working.

 

We seek your attention to this important and urgent matter and request you to schedule a meeting specifically on Dwarka issue.

 

 

Members of Dwarka Forum and Residents of Dwarka Sub City are keen to have your active intervention to resolve power crisis in Dwarka Sub-city.

Dikshit has now instructed the discoms to attend to complaints about local faults urgently, and also form a team to respond to such complaints during the night.

About lack of help available through the discoms’ helplines, the statement said: “Discoms need to ensure proper functioning of all call centres by deploying senior executives and extra telephone lines.” Dikshit also said complaints filed through SMS services should also be acted upon immediately.

The Chief Minister has also instructed the discom officials to submit a list of unattended local fault complaints that exceeded two hours.

one of my known complained about low voltage in his area M.enclave as A.C was not working because of low voltage ( complain No-5099/5784/4901/010062305072) after three days of followup someone called up saying low voltage is not a complain and hanged up the phone ,

Today, our sector-3 , Pkt- 1 &2 was having power cut of 8hrs ( morning 10am to 6 pm). After lodging a complaint at 1pm thru complaint no. 3342, official said its a technical fault and within an hour electricity will come but it comes at 6pm.

Here is MISLEADING reply by BSES to DERC on our represenation.

We seek all CGHS and DDA Pocket RWA to give supporting documents on following:

 

1. Pictures of Street lights not working or Pole Numbers.

2. Pictures of HT/LT (transformer house ) deterioring maintenance conditions.

3. The Register maintained by Generator Operation for Power cut time and date recored by various CGHS Managment.

 

We would HIGHLY appreciate the above be shared ASAP to enable proper reply and put FACTS before DERC/CMO in
