Sir,
Reg: Collection of toll tax on all toll plazas through fastag.
With the introduction of fastag passing through toll plazas located on national highways has become smoother, saving a lot of revenue leakage, fuel & time of commuters. However, still the toll plazas operated by municipalities, and state Government authorities continue to make collections in cash or have devised their own RFID tags. These tags exclusively work on a specific toll plaza.
While cash payments are prone to revenue leakage and also leads to a waste of time, the management of separate tags by vehicles for exclusive usage at a particular crossing is highly inconvenient.
It is requested that the concerned Ministry may be directed to look into this aspect and expedite the integration of all toll plazas in the country through fastag with a committed deadline.
Please acknowledge.

Sir,
Reg: Collection of toll tax on plazas managed by PWD/municipality through fastag.
While cash payments are prone to revenue leakage and also leads to a waste of time, the management of multiple tags by any vehicles owner for exclusive usage at a particular crossing operated by a municipality/PWD is highly inconvenient. In this regard a petition was filed vide reference number PMOPG/E/2021/0494023 with a request that concerned Ministry may please look into this aspect and arrange to expedite the integration of all toll plazas in the country with fastag.
However, as per reply received from NHAI, this work does not fall within their jurisdiction. We, therefore, request that if NHAI is not able to undertake this, the task may be assigned to other relevant Ministry/Department.
Please acknowledge.
