Does anyone has idea why the weekly vegetable markets meant to service the public are suddenly uprooted from one place and they return after some weeks to the same place? who benefits in disturbing these vendors who are only earning their livelihood and we resident also get the convenience of buying fresh veggies and fruits from one place. These weekly markets are held in various sectors on rotation basis but suddenly the police evicts them and also after some weeks, they reappear!
This is a mystery but a great inconvenience to residents i believe.

Dear Mr Pradeep Ivon,

Earlier the markets used to be held in several sectors. Of course, the next
day the place look very dirty but each vegetable vendor was giving 3 rupees
for the safaiwallahs and still they were not cleaning the places well!

Ok. I believe as per the master plan Dwarka is a zero-tolerance zone, which
means street vendors and other encroachments are not allowed! But
everything is there except the vegetable markets on Saturdays.

It is only the police who wants money from these vendors chase them away.
Even now you can see some vendors standing at regular places in front of
several societies. They give money to the police and hence are not chased
away!

As far as the markets are concerned I know of two places. One in Sector 7
(near Dadadev Ground) on every Friday and near Sector 14 on every Sunday.

Regards - M Jayaraman

Dear all,
This is lack of planning not to provide proper space for sabjiwala. Everybody , we need sabji daily. This is big mistake of plan. Still we don't have subji wala space in Dwaka except mother diary some places. I think DDA will listen and try to build some pucca place for subji in all sector of Dwarka.
