HELP REQUIRED IN DATA COLLECTION   Government of India norms for piped water supply in towns and cities are as follows. Towns without sewerage – 70 lpcd (Liters per capita per day) Cities with sewers/proposed – 135 lpcd Mega cities with sewers/proposed – 150 lpcd   Our Society is Consuming 1000 Ltrs per Occupied Flat per day of Water in summer season. (Total Water Received from Pipe Water Supply, DDA Tankers and Private Tankers) (Plantation & Garden water is not included) (No separate Meters in Society)   I request to Share the Water Consumption per Flat per Day ????????? in your Societies excluding gardening. during summer season i.e. March to July. I wish to calculate average water requirements per flat in CGHS? Pl Share the data Pl let me know weather separate meters are installed? Hi All

Our society is planning to have the Water meter per flat. Can someone give some idea on

a. Kind of water meter that should be used. Any reference to the supplier or brand name or place to get it cheap for 150 flats.

b. There are of two types Horizontal and Vertical. ITs placed on top of overhead tank. We are getting horizontal ones which will be costly to deploy as we now need to make a T shape joint etc and then measuer. Right now we have vertical pipes from overhead tanks so any vertical meter shud have been great.

c. Any approximate idea of per house usage as requested by Mr. Malik as well.

d. Has any society succesfuly using the meters for long time i.e. 4-5+ years... Our society water is hard and so will these meters be able to survive that??.
