I visited the DDA office at INA yesterday for some work. And I was in for a complete shock. The sight was seen to be believed.
The moment you cross the reception .. all the corridors, in all the floors, are lined with different shapes and sizes of rusted almairah and on top of that you have files piled up. I wonder how the files can ever be found. Is this how the Government Offices maintained the files. No wonder the files gets lost very easily. Its all in the open... anyone can take it and walk off!!
It was unbelievable to see ONE OF THE RICHEST BODY i.e. DDA is in this pathetic condition. There is no 'C' of computer in any of the rooms. You can see only computers at the reception. Rest - no one has any computer on their table. There is no system of having proper table and chairs in any room..its all scattered in different directions...and the so called "officials" the "staff" all having big/huge registers. filling in ..god only know what they are recording...not even legible.!
The Ministry under which DDA falls - The Urban Development Ministry - the Minister Mr. V. Naidu, and the Swatch Bharat Mission head, should visit this office to see what goes on here. Our PM is reiterating every MINUTE about digitization and what not....one visit to this office will put him to shame! The question is:
Just want to narrate the scene of the department room i visited. Had to spend 2.5 hours standing. Mind you No courtesy extended. No chair offered ...
The Minister and the PM should do a surprise visit to see how their vision of digitization is being murdered right under their nose and in the Capital itself. No need to go anywhere!
Sorry state of affairs ! God only save this country!
regards,
Sudha
