@ Shobhit Ji,  There is no proof of illegal activities being done by any leaders although it may be done on their behest. They may not be involved in illegal activities directly. Take e.g. illegal water extraction. It can not be taken and digested that political bosses and law keepers have no knowledge abt it but........... You address a letter to them on this issue. Reply may be "The matter is being looked into" OR "It has been forwarded to XXXXX Department with a request to redress your grievance under intimation to this office." That intimation and action will never come up.

Thats the reason they move so openly and fearlessly. 

Frankly speaking I am not in favour of such ceremonies. Let them bring a flow chart of what work they have done, how many major problems have been resolved? Do they display work done and amount spent from their fund in any prominent place in their respective ward? If yes, felicitate. 

Just sending a Good wishes card is more than sufficient.

My words may hurt. But Truth Prevails.

I am completely with you. Instead of merely felicitating them with flowers and dinner, lets use this opportunity as a public interaction. Last time in the Police Public Meeting, a lot of issues were passed onto these civic agencies. Let them address the same in this event. Let people raise their queries. Instead of having a flower show, let us have an interactive session. 

Very few people have the guts to speak the Truth even though it always will prevail. :)
