Regarding: Ease of living.
Grievance: When you apply for a motor driving license there is a requirement of medical fitness certificate to be issued by a medical practitioner. As per information uploaded on parivahan department website, the certificate i.e Form-1A is “To be filled in by a registered medical practitioner appointed for the purpose by the State Government or person authorized in this behalf by the State Government referred to under sub-section (3) of Section-8.” What would one understand after reading this? No list of such authorized doctors is provided anywhere. One would have no option either to make an inquiry or visit RTO office, thereby defeating the very purpose of online application.
In fact, the transport department has authorized any MBBS degree holder medical practitioner to issue this certificate but this information is not provided on the form.
Solution: So, to make things easy and avoid any hassles it must be mentioned on the form itself that any registered medical practitioner can issue this medical certificate. This simple information will make the process very smooth for lakhs of applicants.
