The UTTIPEC has drawn guidelines specifying maintenance of footpaths in a barrier-free manner. However, in NDMC area at several places, obstructions in the form of sign boards can be spotted. These boards are fixed by NDMC itself hence is a surprise. These are not exceptional are but at many places. NDMC is a prime area of the country and must function in an ideal mode showcasing good picture of the country. The NDMC must examine this and arrange for the removal of all such sign boards and come out with facts indicating

1. Reasons for non-compliance with UTTIPEC guidelines,

2. List of all the staff members those have ignored guidelines and fixed sign boards on footpaths.
