In Delhi the public health sector is scattered and managed by various agencies like MCD, Delhi Government, Central Government, Delhi Cantt Board, NDMC etc. At most of the places Sunday is off day. In recent past, the Government has taken initiation to revamp the earlier Mohalla Clinic as Aarogya Mandir. Still in Delhi the luxury of 5 day week is mostly with Government servants or employees of foreign-based companies. Few private sector employees are fortunate to have this facility as a result, it would be difficult for many of the citizens to avail services on a working day. So, while government is working to improve the infrastructure, it may consider shifting weekly off at Aarogy Mandirs from Sunday to Monday for wider reach of services.

In our country public health sector is scattered and managed by various agencies like municipality, state government, army, Central Government, Cantt Board etc. At most of the places Sunday is off day. At times, the Government takes initiation to ease the approach of a common man to medical facilities. Still in our country the luxury of 5 day week is mostly with Government servant or employees of foreign based companies. Few private sector employees are fortunate to have this facility as a result it would be difficult for many of the citizens to avail services on a working day. However, the e-sanjeevani portal also is not available on Sundays & other holidays. So, it is a genuine difficulty for many, specifically for poor those cannot afford the high private fee.
So, the Central Government may consider forming a rotating panel of doctors which could work on off-days to keep the portal running. This is very important portal giving door step medical services to citizens, so why should medical facilities be discontinued on Sunday? Since the portal is operating pan India basis, on-line availability of doctors on off-days will be a big relief to lakhs of people and provide emergency support.
